Most Solopreneurs follow 100s of creators on Instagram and listen to what they preach.

But at the end of the day, their wallets are empty.

You know why?

Because their business lacks the basics.

What do you mean by “basics”?

By basics, I mean funnels.

Yes, you heard me right.

Funnels form the base of any business.

They illustrate the entire journey—from discovering the right people to converting them into paying customers.

If you're not making any sales, it's not because you don’t have a funnel; it's because you don’t have an optimized funnel.

An optimized funnel makes the process of filling your wallet - butter smooth.

Okay, so how do I create an optimized funnel?

You don’t have to.

Because I created one for you.

This is the ultimate sales funnel to keep your customers and your wallet happy:

Here are 3 steps of the above funnel:

  1. Post tweets that say “Reply with [X] and I’ll DM you [high-value free stuff] for free”

These tweets help attract potential paying customers by providing something valuable for free. It can be a template, guide, Google doc, etc.

To claim that freebie, they must reply with a specific keyword after giving a like and following you. (Here’s an example)

  2. Sending the DM

Now once they do that, you can manually send them a DM with the asset or you can set an auto-dm using tools such as Typefully, Hypefury, or Tweethunter.

This link should lead them to the Gumroad product page.

  3. Upselling a paid product

Create an upsell to your paid product on Gumroad with a gentle offer. This would probably be the first time the customer sees your product, so don’t be too pushy.

There can be 2 cases here:

    • Customer buys your paid product - If this happens, they should be taken to an email sequence crafted for the paid product where you nurture them and provide the best customer experience so that they become your first paid customer for your next product.

    • Customer rejects the offer - If this happens, they should be taken to the following email sequences:

      • Welcome sequence - Show that you care about them

      • Value sequence - In the last email of the previous sequence, ask for permission to get them on a sequence where you’ll provide more value for free.

      • Sales sequence - If they’re still subscribed, send them an email sequence that stresses a problem, and offers a solution (paid product)

And that wraps up this issue. I’ll see you in the next one.

Yours truly,

Nandu “keep your wallet happy” Ashok
